Carlsberg Foundation

The Carlsberg Foundation is a not-for-profit organization established in 1876 by J. C. Jacobsen. It manages the Carlsberg Brewery Group and the Carlsberg Laboratory, funding scientific research and social initiatives through its subsidiary, the Tuborg Foundation. As of 2011, it owned 30.3% of Carlsberg Group shares, controlling 74.2% of the voting power.
